Philosophy of Governing: We need smaller government, less rules and regulation. Right to life is the most fundamental human right, the government must therefore protect the unborn. I support social policies that promote and reward families, hard work, thrift, free enterprise and personal responsibility. Protection of individualism, freedom and liberty are paramount.  Science and Technology: The Internet must be kept open and tax free. I oppose embryonic stem cell research. I support adult stem cell research on cells from adults and materials derived from the placenta and umbilical cord.  Tax: Greatly simplify the tax code. Tax all forms of economic activity only once and then only at the same rate. Low tax rates encourage prosperity.  Welfare: Welfare is not a right. I do however support and advocate continued state support for those with chronic conditions and of course for our disabled, war veterans. Introduce lifetime limits on receipt of welfare for the able-bodied.
