Government: Small, less invasive government is better than large, intrusive government. In all matters pertaining to legislation, I will be guided by this belief.  Gun Control: The Second Amendment is an individual right. I support the right to carry guns for law-abiding citizens. States must not be allowed to infringe upon this right.  Health Care: Although it has its problems, the American health care system is by far, the best in the world. I oppose government-provided, universal, health insurance which would only result in the rationing of it. I support overhauling our Medicare/Medicaid system to cut out excess, fraud and abuses. We should encourage non-government, free market controlled expansion of health care facilities and services.  Immigration: We are a nation of laws and I oppose illegal immigration, period. I oppose bringing large numbers of Muslims from Iraq and other countries into the U.S. as refugees. Their customs and values are not compatible with our culture. Whenever possible, immigration laws must encourage people to come here who want to be Americans, not hyphentated Americans. First priority should be given to those who become fluent in English, who will fully integrate and who provide important skills and services which are in demand. Illegal immigrants must never be provided with an easy pathway to U.S. citizenship over others who applied legally and patiently await their turn. I oppose the providing of government services to illegal immigrants.
